REV. CAROL FLEMING brings a lot of energy and creativity with drama and music into a worship service. As a Biblical dramatist, Rev. Carol weaves Biblical story-telling with humor and music to make the characters come alive. She was at SJOC last year portraying Jesus’ grand-mother. The story of the First Advent came alive to all who were in church that day.
Rev. Carol has led a variety of re-treats plus presented workshops on the Ministry of Music with her instruments of choice – the guitar, banjo and mandolin. She has written and performed Biblical monologues as well as composing music for worship and liturgy. The traditional as well as the con-temporary music are always in her worship services.
Hobbies include playing the guitar, banjo and mandolin plus writing music for worship. Rev. Carol and her husband, Chuck enjoy wood carving and wood turning. Carol has a cottage industry “The Oak Chalice” (www.theoakchalice.com) making chalices and patens.
Chuck Fleming is a retired Chief in the US Coast Guard and is an elementary school principal in the Goshen Community school system.
The two of them reside on Lake Coverdale in Union, MI. For “big” playmates they have two bull mastiffs, Clifford and Clarabella plus four cats, Clancy, Cleo, George and last but not least Magnificat.
